Project on a Page

Data is becoming more and more available on projects, through digital tools and higher adoption rates which have been fuelled by a need to ensure your project remains compliant. The building safety bill, regulatory requirements and the need for strong document control are becoming more and more of an issue for delivery and project managers.

Implementing more and more data rich techniques can provide efficiencies, but without a joined up approach this can create more problems than it solves. These can include silo’d data, manual reporting processes and a lot of heavy lifting to get a view on project performance.

SPL worked alongside eviFile to develop a single source of reporting by creating a project on a page within eviFile – collecting all of your information into a single web solution. All of the construction data, powered by design data alongside eviFile’s mobile app capturing and reporting all of the progress, quants and golden thread data, in a single report.

Not only that, but issues, snags, and non-conformity requests were collected by engineers in real-time. All of the construction data and issues can then be taken through a workflow process – streamlining their progression to approval. As a result, any project hurdles – and potential delays – are not only allocated, tracked, and managed towards completion in real-time, but remain digitally-linked to the main asset. Centralising all reporting into a single report – available to all.

As well as this, all data reporting is in real-time through eviFile’s Power BI reporting suite – showing planned progress vs. actual, while also delivering project-based business information analytics in seconds. If needed, changes can be made instantaneously, and reports delivered rapidly.

SPL Powerlines entire project team, and the client, has access to a suite of out-of-the-box tools, while eviFile’s highly flexible system allows all forms, workflows, and attachments to be easily tailored to the customer’s needs though a configurable control panel.

Deployment of the Software as a Service (SaaS) solution helps to lessen carbon emissions, cut down on the amount of paper used, reduce the number of necessary site visits, and curtail rework – key metrics in any net zero initiative.

As a result of the successful delivery, SPL Powerlines is planning to roll-out eviFile on further projects in England.
